Since the company was started we’ve been fortunate enough to experience many locals that are instrumental in making Ray’s Swimming Pool & Supply to all their friends and making us one of the highest rated pool companies in the city. There are many other pool companies in Richmond. Most swimming pool owners stated that Ray’s Swimming Pool & Supply are much different than other local pool companies.

Lots of homeowners have trouble with finding a professional pool company. It’s such a relief that a website like this was created for homeowners to enable folks to rate pool companies, to drop feedback concerning the experience they had. This provides their neighbors to make smarter hiring decision when choosing what firm to hire for the issue.

    I wish you could give negative stars. My husband read reviews and noticed there were comments of not returning calls, but he didn’t experience a problem during initial arrangements so discounted them. It would appear as though once they have you “on the hook” they no longer need to return your calls. The girl who sometimes answers the phone must be his daughter, otherwise I don’t see how he hasn’t fired her. Their store front is not that busy but calls go to voicemail without a response, and if she answers- she knows nothing. Despite asking several times for Ray to call, he never did. Here’s our full story. In March of 2021 we had Ray come out and give us a price for a pool with installation. We wanted to support local businesses so even though it was a smidge more we went with him and gave the $100 deposit. Due to Covid it was explained to us that they had to wait on the warehouse to get the parts in stock that they’d be in touch. What they should have said was – wait 4 months, call weekly and one day you may get an answer. The ONLY TIME we were given any sort of information it was from us calling repeatedly to try and get an answer. In the end of May she told my husband liners were finally in that June he would be installing in ground pools and get to the above ground starting beginning of July and we were third in line. So we called back the beginning of July. After multiple calls and messages I finally got her on the phone. She had no info except- you’re third in line he’s starting this week. So I called back the next week. He still hasn’t started as planned I’ll call you when I have an update. Another week passed and I called back. Still hasn’t started the install, the first guy didn’t get lines marked yet. Something Ray said they’d take care of. So I called and got our lines marked, they were done within 3 days. I called and left a message letting them know our lines were marked. Nothing. Another week passed and I called, at this point it’s the end of July; it’ll be next week. Well that next week came and ended with no calls or anything. So we went up to their location and got our deposit back. She then told us it was going to be that week. Sorry, too late. You wasted our entire sumner thinking we were getting a pool! What, we’re going to now install it to only winterize it 3 weeks later?! It was one thing being delayed by Covid, but you had everything in May. According to you several weeks wen by without installs. And you can’t blame rain- we had NONE during that time.
    So if you don’t care if you get it installed in time to enjoy it, don’t like having any sort of notice, think crappy customer service is acceptable- this is the company for you! Otherwise, go somewhere else and enjoy your summer.
