You are applying for a Route Technician position. This job requires you to visit, test, and chemically treat approximately 50 accounts per day. You must enjoy working outdoors and be able to lift at least 25lbs. multiple times per day (chlorine jugs).
We work a four-day work week Monday-Thursday that starts at 6am and is completed when your route is done (no more than 10 hours per day). We do require a two week training/probation period. During this time, you will be evaluated to see if you are compatible for the position, and then offered a season job with Pure Water Pools. You are classified as an “at will” employee. Part-time positions available.
Training/Probation Period is on an hourly basis at $13.00/hr. This is an entry level/seasonal position that pays for each account serviced (per pool basis). There is an opportunity to earn additional money work orders turned in and commission for parts installed. The average monthly salary is $2000-2200 for a starting position.
Payroll checks are issued on the 15th and the last day of the month. Commission checks over $10.00 are issued on the 10th of each month, if under $10.00 they are included in your payroll check on the 15th.
You must be in good health and able to tolerate the heat. You must be able to do lifting, bending, kneeling, and squatting without physical impairments. This is a non-smoking job; we cannot allow smoking in company vehicles, or at a customer’s residence. You are required to wear a company work shirt, and neat pants or shorts.
Rudeness or insubordination will not be tolerated and is cause for termination. You must have a clean driving record and a valid California drivers license (a DMV printout must be provided). A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREEN IS REQUIRED SINCE YOU WILL BE DRIVING A COMPANY VEHICLE. No passengers are allowed in a company vehicle, and if cited, you will be terminated.
The is a seasonal job, so health insurance is not offered. If you are hired into a permanent position, you will be eligible for health/dental insurance.
Vacation: After one year’s employment you will receive one week (four days) paid vacation.
Profit sharing plan: you are enrolled after one full year’s employment, and vestment occurs after five years.
Any injuries that occur on the job must be reported immediately and the proper paperwork filed.
